Are you getting together with family for thanksgiving?

with covid? i dont think im going to go this year. usually my sister has like 40 people over to her place every thanksgiving. really it gives me an excuse not to go. as i hate to sit there and watch football. i barely talk to anybody. plus our counties are now in the red with increased covid cases. just going to play it safe this year and stay home.

Too early to say. Havn’t decided yet. Plus, don’t even know who is doing what. Thanksgiving is a long way off yet.

Yeah, we have a small gathering with just my parents, grandpa, and uncle this year. Just 5 of us, so it won’t be too bad.

40 people is alot. I’d skip out on that, too.

Thanksgiving is 12 Oct here, it has already passed. We do nothing special on thanksgiving. On Christmas my uncle’s and my 2 cousin’s families come over.

I might have my mom and brother over.

But of course. That’s my favorite holiday.

Nope. I’ll be by myself this Thanksgiving. It’s been like this ever since my Mom died. No family or friends here locally. Last year a church served dinner in the low income building I live in.

We don’t celebrate thanksgiving here in Australia.

My grandparents in Sweden used to have a thanksgiving dinner when my grandpa was alive but not since he dies.

Just staying at home doing nothing special.

What date is it?

Maybe I should buy a extra nice dinner or something to have by myself.

If we do, it’ll be just us, the kids, and my brother in law

I spend most holidays alone.

We moved from one town to another on Cdn Thanksgiving while trying to stay socially distanced from the movers. Didn’t see family. My wife wants to get together with her parents, but can’t because she works in an office now and doesn’t know what she has been exposed to by who.

We have cancelled all get togethers. My parents are having their 65th anniversary on the 29th. We are sending them flowers and a nice supper. We are also doing a memory book for them.
