My grandparents instilled the ethic in me to finish projects once you start them.
And I have given up stuff before but at 40 years old I know who I am and what my interests are.
Oh and I don’t take failures or setbacks to heart. Always learning something…everyday.

Those are important lessons. My drive seems to be waning. Technically, I finished the drafts of my novels, but there’s so much polishing and fixing to do. O well.

Sounds like you are on the right track. Keep at it and it is okay to take a break if it becomes more work than enjoyment.
Can you give me a one sentence synopsis of what your novel is about? Just curious.

A lot is happening in my life right now. I’ll try and chip away at the books, but not to the point where I lose interest.

I buy myself things all the time, games, electronics etc. I don’t think I will buy myself something because of christmas, if anything I’m taking a break from buying things. But I have bought presents for others.

im pretty broke…my disability case worker didnt put in that i was paying rent til january even tho i started paying in october so ive been on $609 a month. I cant wait til next month. My mom bought me a pair of light weight Vans yesterday tho cause it was hard to walk and i thought lighter shoes might help vs my boots. Like these.
