Are you a morning person or a night owl or something inbetween?

I’m a morning person, wakeup early around 7am to start the day. But towards the end of the afternoon to evening i began to feel anxious and sometimes suffer from anxiety attacks. How can i feel good in the afternoon and evenings? What do those who are night owls love about the evenings? The mornings are usually filled with energy and iced americanos.

My sleep patterns are all over the place. On the weekends I get my days and nights completely turned around. I have more or less resigned myself to being dopey in the afternoons. If I can I take a power nap, but when I do that I am in danger of going under too deeply and missing something I’m supposed to do. If you can keep from going asleep too deeply you might try just closing your eyes for about fifteen or twenty minutes without drifting off. That sometimes helps me.

Mostly worked nights or shift-work. Trying to break the night shift cycle is a night mare at times. Probably be happiest being up all night and sleep through the day. But tdocs and pdocs don’t. Shopping a pain as 24hrs stores charge a arm and leg for everything. Plus I get manic/OCD and have fight the urge to mow the lawn at 3am in the morning. etc etc. So trying to work on changing my body clock.

I’m asleep for most of the day and awake all night. I work at it and get my sleep pattern back to ‘normal’ but after a few days and night of this I’m back at square one again - awake all night. Sometimes I’m awake all night, all day, and all the next night as well and then when I do go to sleep I can be out cold for 15 hours. My sleep pattern is a big problem.

Somewhere in between for me. My sleeping pattern shifts as well. This week I usually sleep at around 2 AM and wake at around 10 AM.

I hate mornings. I am way more myself at any other time of the day. The whole “This ■■■■■■■■■■■■ needs 1mg xanax 60mg geodon 80mg propranolol 250mg caffeine 14mg nicotine transdermal ASAP!!!” gets old.

Waking up from nightmares gets old too.

i love mornings i just wish they came later in the day.

Sunset to sunrise usually.

It’s nice seeing both the falling and rising.

When I wasn’t as healthy in the past… I was a night owl

But these past two years… I’ve been a morning person.

I like being up in the morning… I do like late night walks when I get a bit restless.

but I have an easier time in the morning then the evening. Evening… I start having a bit of head circus try and come in.

Definitely a morning person. Alarm set for 5.30 am
Go to bed around 7 pm. Take meds 6 pm

I need my eight hours, or preferably ten or even twelve, every night on a regular schedule. Off to bed at 22.00, up at 8.00 or some slight variation thereof. I love my slow, lazy mornings.
