i took that IQ test. What was your score? I think that test is biased in how its graded. My score was 107 and I was diagnosed with bipolar1 in 2016.

I think that was on the computer not sure. But the puzzle I am talking about was the hardest, I had to place the rings in the way and same steps as the neuropsych, she did it for over a minute, I couldnā€™t memorize and repeat what she did.

She said the scores are private and that she could only tell me if I did below average, average or above average.

I have issues with memory too Aziz. Itā€™s part of the disorder and honestly, I donā€™t think the meds help in this area.

I dont think people with schizophrenia have a lower intelligence. i think instead that the illness just gets in the wayā€¦of education/life/work everythingā€¦we have to work so hard against the diseaseā€¦it makes it harder for us but we are in no way less smart.

I think me too since the ring steps repetition test is working memory, now that I am remembering it it tests working memory. My working memory is below average she said, its horrible I feel.

sometimes meds can bring back the memories that the disease robbed.

There was 5 metal pieces where in each she placed a certain color big button or ring?, she stacked them. Then she told me to repeat exactly what she did. I blanked and told her I forgot everything.

for my test the doctor put a bunch of shapes on the table and i had to quickly put them all into a square it took me a few seconds. I Had more trouble repeating the words he said backwards back to him.

Online iq tests I always get like 122 but I failed the test done by the neuropsych at the hospital. Makes me think that online iq tests are crap.

Seems we all had different tests, even though there were similarities.

I had to listen to a story and answer questions about details in the story.

Problem was, I didnā€™t listen. The whole time I was thinking: this is boring! Who writes this crap?? Whoops. Iā€™m supposed to pay attention. :joy:

I donā€™t think APā€™s are helpful for concentration either, so taking these tests while on meds may put you at a disadvantage. Especially if they expect you to concentrate on a story and memorize the details or some such test like Pandy was describing.
