I am sure my Latuda 80mg gives me negative and cognitive symptoms, it brings my energy down and makes me tired right when I take it. Also I feel sick when taking it, bad nausea and I sweat. Sometimes I sweat a lot with akathisia at night after taking it, can’t sleep.
Is this normal?
I hope Risperdal is better, my apt is 6 May.
Never tried latuda but im on risperidone myself. I started with pills but changed to injections after. Honestly the first thing i remember when taking risperidone was the constant pacing, but i think that was from the psychosis.
Anyways i found the injection form to have way less side effects than the pills. Plus i was able to lower my dose to the lowest one.
The other thing i notice is the twitching of the legs and eyes. Doesnt happen often but its noticable when it does.
Its not that good for sleep tho, it used to help but slowly i got used to the drowsiness. Im thinking of asking my doc for 5mg of abilify to help a little with the sleep. On abilify my sleep schedule was normal for 3 months. Woke up at 6 in the morn in bed by 9.
Anyways hope the new meds work out for you. What dose you gonna be on?
Risperidone gave me restless, jumpy legs while I was trying to sleep. I ditched it and went to Abilify injections…no issues but perhaps a shorter attention span for watching movies or reading long text.
Hmm They gave me Risperdal in the hospital and I had eyelid twitches but I don’t mind if it stops the negative and cognitive symptoms. My pdoc said there is no perfect med for SZ.
