Appointments during the coronavirus crisis

I was just wondering if it is ok to have a psych appointment during this coronavirus crisis or should it be rescheduled or to have this appointment in some other way (on the phone for example). It is my regular appointment and I would not like to miss it because I find these appointments very helpful. What is your opinion?

All my appointments over the last few weeks have been on the phone.

I don’t mind it so much, but face to face is always better

I’m only getting phone appointments now…not allowed to see my psychiatrist in person.

I communicate with both my psychiatrist and therapist by video and phone.

My psychiatrist and therapist both work from their homes.

Do you use Skype or some other video application? My psych clinic is just 300 meters from my place, I would prefer face to face meetings.

Its just phone support in the uk here if you wanna speak to a Duty CPN.
You are of course, still allowed to attend in person tho, if your depot jab is due.

Medication reviews with the shrink have been cancelled tho.

Going to phone or skype over here. A sign of the times but saves me an hour journey by train in and out of the city. No way I’m getting on a train in this environment.

A couple of years ago when my psych doc worked from her home, we had a video conference so that I and my nurse were at the psych clinic in the video conference room and we had our video conference with my psych doc in that way. I do not know what the video application was used, maybe skype or something else. I thought that it was a good way to utilize the net in the psychiatric services. I had not used the video conference before. I guess that my next appointment may be on phone or it may be rescheduled to later date.

Mine has been over the phone. Zoom has been suggested (video call) but for now until she sorts it out everything is done over the phone.

I saw my psychiatrist in person on 1 April. He said he is going over to phone consultations. Fortunately I got my 6 month script for chronic medication.
