Finally the time has come where my doctors are in agreement that I need to be on disability. I’m excited. Our local disability help group took on my case, and according to my case manager they have a record of getting people approved first try which would be amazing. Fingers crossed I get lucky

One of the best things I ever did was move sideways and onto disability. I still rely on family help but it’s been a good ride without the stress of working. I did volunteer for years so it’s good to keep busy but wish you well with it all.

if you have been hospitalized a couple times or even once it should get you automatic disability…it will probably take a couple months for them to send you the approval of benefits so you will be getting backpay probably.

make sure they give you ssdi and not ssi…ssi is for people that never worked. and is very hard to live on and keep because it’s about half of what ppl on ssdi get…I get ssdi.

There is always something to worry about.
But it’s a less demanding life.

I was considering talking with my pdoc about it again. I’ve never really been able to hold down a job or at least not go through extreme stress trying to maintain one.
What country are you in? I think its pretty different depending on where you live.
