Anyone try Saphris?

I just got switched to this med. Well I’m cross tapering. Off of Abilify and starting up Saphris. I’m just curious if anyone has had any luck with it? I was still having mood swings and hypersexuality on Abilify after being on the highest dose for awhile.

Next step is clozapine if this doesn’t work. But that stuff scares me a bit. So hoping this one works.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I was on Saphris for a bit.

It’s not a bad med, but it tastes like doo doo, especially the cherry version.

Good luck !

Clozapine only if your positives are not working well
Usually you try Zyprexa or Risperdal before it

But if anything else works, stay with it
Clozapine is God send if nothing else works
But it does come with other side effects

Stay on the Saphri-Sycrest-Asenapine for 6 weeks if you Can for the symptoms you’re experience. The drug should take care of your sleep, psychosis and especially mood swings. In the EU it’s mostly used for bipolar. Most people don’t experience a loads of weight gain like the other atypical.
I cannot recommend Clozapine to you as long as you don’t give other options a chance.
You see Clozapine is the only meds that is approved for the indication Treatment Resistant and the one neuroleptics with the most heavy side effect profile of all neuroleptics.
It is the most troubling neuroleptics because it’s very hard to manage because you have to get your blood drawn once a month because a very rare blood condition caused by Clozapine.

I had to stop it because I became very angry and aggressive on it. I was so unlike myself.
