Anyone still get voices on antipsychotics?

Are they faint or normal or loud? What kinds of things do they say? What dose are you on and do you take pills or injections?

I get faint voices and am on 2 mg risperidone and 120mg of geodon. They only happen when I’m stressed.

Sorry to hear you’re still suffering

I’m on 3mg risperidone and I sometimes hear sirens and misconstrue what people are saying to match my thoughts when I’m really tired or stressed, if those count as voices.

I have faint voices, mostly backgroun noise. I’m on 74mg Latuda

I’m on haldol 100 mg. Shot. I still hear voices but not as much if I was off it. The voices are just telling me to kill myself.

Good luck to you
I’m on invega injections as well and my voices are neutral, i hear them saying random things and it’s manageable for me.

I rarely hear voices on Invega 9mg tablet. When I do hear something it’s at a normal volume and they are usually cutting me down and making fun of me.

I’m on 10 mg Zyprexa, I hear 90% positive voices with messages like I love you, you’re great, etcetera. 5% neutral or makes no sense, and the final 5% is mean stuff like “kill yourself” or “you’re going to hell.”

Have you tried Clozapine? :thinking::thinking::thinking:

Yeah but my doctor said I had to stop it.

Only when the antipsychotics stop working. Right now I’m on 12 mg of paliperodone. But it’s not really working anymore. I hear two voices one says “cut/kill yourself” And the other says “it will be okay” “you can’t die” or “you are God”

I still get voices when I’m under a lot of stress. I’m on perphenazine, 24mg/day.

With the possible exception of a few short periods when outside events affected me the voices never went away no matter what they put me on.

Yes, I still hear voices but not everyday.
I have some good and some bad days.

Yeah…they don’t happen frequently, usually just when I am stressed or upset. They’ll appear for a short burst and then go away again. It’s usually just insults and saying hurtful things.

My doctor and I talked about upping my dose of rexulti so that doesn’t happen anymore. I’m on the lowest therapeutic dose right now 2 mg pills.

I’m on 6mg risperidone and I was voice free for 8 months. I recently started hearing whispers but they are manageable. I’m thinking of upping my dose of risperidone if they get any worse. So I’d be on 8mg. The thing is I’m not sure if my doctor will up it to 8mg I’d say he will want to change meds instead.

I was on chlorpromazine 100mg/day. It had no effects whatsoever on the voices or other symptoms I had.
