I’m on latuda rn and starting Cymbalta in 1 hour. How has it effected your negative symptoms. A big plus if you’re on latuda and cymbalta as well. That would help me alot. Thank you.
I’m on the combination 60mg latuda and 90mg cymbalta. I go to school full time so I think I have my negative symptoms in order. I also take seroquel (low dose) because I can’t sleep on just latuda

No not really. Just some tiredness from the meds but that has gone away as I have gotten used to them

Did you have negative symptoms on other antipsychotics? You can boost the cymbalta with 5h2c antagonists like agomelatine, mirtrazapine, mianserin or olanzapine. Seroquel is also a 5h2c antagonist but idk how strong it is with that regard.
No I didn’t have negatives on other antipsychotics accept sleepiness. I’m lucky in that respect

I used to take it. Worked great until after 3 days I had an allergic reaction. I turned beet red. They think it was the dye in it.

I was going to kill myself today. I was going to try overdosing on cymbalta. I realized my dose was too low. Never taking duloxetine again.
Glad to hear you didn’t. Are you experiencing bad negatives?
Did you talk to your doctor about it? They need to know about that sort of reaction.

yes I am experiencing bad negatives. Amotivation, anhedonia and avolition.
Did you have anhedonia? Was that a symptom of your depression. It’s when you lack pleasure from activities that used to give you pleasure.
Honestly yes. I mostly get that from my antipsychotic though. Even when I was psychotic before I went on these meds I was outside hiking and running constantly. Now I just kind of do the bare minimum to get good grades and keep up my social life. My depression is mostly suicidal thoughts though but the cymbalta put that to a stop

You have anhedonia right now? Maybe you can try memantine for that or a 5h2c antagonist. That’s a negative symptom btw. Probably the worst negative symptom. Did cymbalta affect the anhedonia at all?
Yah I do. I don’t take supplements though as I don’t have the funds for them and I am functional enough
