Anyone on clomipramine/ anafranil for ocd intrusive thoughts?

I’m on zoloft for my ocd intrusive thoughts but I’m still having them quite a bit. I heard this medication is really good for that type of ocd. So I’d like reviews please

Try Tulsi tea it helps to reduce OCD, anxiety, anger bursts etc. Its just like regular tea but without any caffeine. It helps to think clearly.

With psych meds there’s very little to indicate what will work or not.

Keep honest with your doctor. Sometimes change is worth it. Sometimes not but if there’s something to gain it’s worth a shot…

Most of the modern ssri’s could help so keep in touch with your doctor. Zoloft is just one of them and not up to speed on the tricyclics…If you are suffering symptoms then talk to doctor. Ask for change if not working…

@pr21 Please stop recommending or dispensing treatment options. These things need to be discussed with doctors and prescribing treatments isn’t appropriate on these boards. Some of the things you are suggesting aren’t appropriate.

I personally have severe OCD and anxiety and playing mental workout games help me to better manage it.

Then please frame your advice within these boundaries.

I’ve seen studies too where brain games and other such things aren’t any difference to anybody. That isn’t an unpublished thing and it’s been shared here before.

Please. What works for you may not work for others and we get a lot of people here who are struggling. Please refrain from recommending things as though they work for everyone because they don’t.

I just suggested not forced. I think the purpose of this forum is also that. Giving helpful suggestions.

Of course it is but please remember others struggle here and promoting alternative treatments or supplements often is something that isn’t proven. Saying they are isn’t helping someone who doesn’t have your genetics. All’s I’m saying is dial back on your approach.

So. What works for me is this. The way you frame it is like your dispensing advice that is common and it’s often not. Please remember it’s about helping and not prescribing. That is what a doctor is for.

Then what is the purpose of this forum. Simply to ask doctor?

No. It’s about helping others. Saying this works for patient A when it may not simply because it works for you is simply not how it works.

We are all different. You come across as though you are saying this will work for everyone and that simply isn’t the case. That is why people have doctors. Stay and play and share your knowledge. That is cool and you’ve a lot to offer. Just don’t make it sound like your prescribing medications because that is a doctors job and not yours. Meanwhile we’ve already moved off the original posters concerns. Dm me if you need clarification.

Sorry if anyone see my posts as if like prescribing. All my posts are suggestions and it may or may not work.

When we find something that work for our self we all have that motivation to convey this message to others so others too might find it helpful.
