Has anyone moved to this low dose and worked well? Please share your experiences, I need insights.
I was on 2mg of risperidone years ago and I did well for a while.
Currently I’m on 4mg.
What happened? When you started to feel worse?
It depends.
Sometimes I’ll need more medicine, my paranoia doesn’t remain steady.
When I was first diagnosed I was on 2mg of risperdal and it worked. However I quit my meds and relapsed and needed a higher dose.
I used to be on 2mg of risperidone for awhile until they switched me to a depot since i was suppose to be taking 3mg lol. I did alright, im actually ok off meds and can still function well enough. I just end up writing alot of poetry and stories while thinking license plates are sending me messages, among other things.
So you are off meds right now? Why the dosage was upped? I’m on 117 Invega, as known as 3mg risperidone
Im on 25mg injection of risperidone, its roughly equal to 2mg. Its a very low dose anyways. Its annoying because i have to go see the doctor every 2 weeks now. Thats what i get for being honest with my doc lol
SO you are on Xeplion? Isn’t 25mg equivalent a 1mg Risperidone? and 50-2mg and 75-3mg?
Probably, the doctor said it was just like a risperidone pill and that itll have less side effects. It works out ok for me, less side effects compared to the pill. Clears my head enough
Can’t believe you on 1mg Risperidone! I want mine depot lowered from 75 to 50mg Paliperidone Palmitate, do you still have any side effects on 25mg?
Just twitchy muscles sometimes and some head pressure. I had those on pills tho aswell, i also had dry mouth alot on pills, but on injection its gone. The only thing that sucks is you cant take an extra pill if im feeling psychotic or manic. So far ive been doing good tho, been on it for 2 months now.
25mg is below therapeutic dose as far as i know, why cant you take a pill with depot?
I dont want to be zombiefied again. I did feel alot better recently tho since ive been on depot. I could ask for emergency pills but the doctor will probably up my dose and i dont want that. So ill just stay quiet for now.
I still have some old pills for just in case.
I mean 50mg is not that high and is good therapeutic dose if you wanna go back to it. Im glad that you are feeling better but only upcoming months will show if 25mg works, that is why I am scared to transition to 50mg as well is my pdoc.
Ill see if i go crazy again. I dont think so tho, i dont want to end up in the psych ward again. That place is so boring lol.

Thank you, It is me and My mom going to psychiatrist to talk about reduction, cause my doc does not believe that i suffer from AP induced anhedonia and depression.
I’m on 2mg but not for psychosis tho

@Newlyborn Nah for borderline personality disorder, it really helps with irritability, self-harm urges, etc in low doses
