Anyone Live In Florida?

I really want to collect spider silk from the species, Nephila Clavipes, because I like the way it looks, having a gold appearance, but I don’t live in Florida, I live in Wisconsin. I could order one of these spiders online, except my dad doesn’t want me to get one. If anyone lives in Florida, where these spiders are, can you please collect some webs and stuff it in an envelope and mail it to me? Before you do this, you must first do 2 things: 1: You need to look up online if mailing spider silk is legal. Only mail me the spider silk if it is legal. 2: Only go near the spiders if you know how to be safe around spiders, some of which could be dangerous. I am not responsible for any injuries that may occur from being around spiders that could be venomous. So, if anyone lives in Florida and wants to help me, just give your name and address, and then I will give you my address, and then mail me a bundle of Nephila Clavipes gold-colored spider silk from collected webs in an envelope, and then upon receiving the webs, I will mail you back $10. We can repeat this process of exchanging webs for cash as many times as you like.

Lol! Good luck with that! First you should probably be the one doing the research about it being legal. Second it would be very time consuming and dangerous and I know personally $10 is no where near enough for me to go anywhere near even a dead spider! Lol! But you may find someone who is in to bugs or likes to study entomology but you’ll probably have to look elsewhere like some bug or insect forums. Most people are terrified of bugs and on this forum even if someone lives in Florida they have to be not scared of bugs, not scared of going out in public, not suffer from paranoia, able to identify different spider classes and their webs and able to identify poisonous spiders and how to respond if something happens. A lot of people won’t risk their lives for $10 so you may be better off purchasing whatever it is you need. I do know that it is illegal to mail anything poisonous to people (illegal to the point of prison time)! However I’m into science, I was a former science teacher and I’d be interested in any pictures of your progress. It sounds really interesting and my hat is off to those people who aren’t squeamish about bugs!
