Im trying to get into shape, taking supplements and eating healthier. Anyone into fitness, its great way to keep symptoms at bay. I use to be shape before i got sick, not im fat. To look like that you have to work out like 6 hours a day, eat tons of lean protein, and significantly dehydrate yourself. Before shows, body builders get super dehydrated so they can look like that. They also take steroids. It’s a good goal to get super fit, but don’t be upset if you can’t quite make it to looking like that pic
i could only get into bodybuilding if i get a non physical job, because im sore for a week after i lift. but i do have a home gym. i would like to shape my traps, shoulders, back, arms, and keep my pecs kinda small. o also nice legs. my cousin is an amateur bodybuilder, he is ripped, competes against 20 or 30 years olds for shows and is 47 years old himself. we were talking about it over labor day.
Bodybuilder is great sport, its not about steriods is about hard work, achieving something bigger than your self, looking better boost your self esteem. i wish everyone gets into fitness it definitely helps with schizophrenia symptoms. I wish i know someone whos a bodybuilder that had schizophrenia.
Thats awesome, I was powerlifter when i was in highschool, i loved it. I like clean and jerk my favorite movement. Powerlifting is great to develop power your muscles and develop strong bone density. I have to incorporate powerlifting my workouts. Their fun to do.
A body like that only takes a full body workout once a week for about 2 to 3 hours.
I know this cos I’ve worked out on and off over the past 7 years. Unfortunately my shoulder injury has prevented my progress but a year or two of working out once my shoulder is fixed and I could defo get that body.
LS! I am 62 years old and trying to achieve a better physique. I exercise daily for the last two and a half years. But I just get stronger all of the time without getting to look much better. I can see in the gym that I am one of the strongest there. I do a leg extension with 134 kilo (300lbs) and a pec deck with 134 kilo (300lbs). According to the website Strengthlevel I have elite fitness for my weight (300 lbs) and age.
One week for recovery is normal according to “Body by Science.” That’s with HIIT with one week recovery times. If you need one week of recovery as your muscle soreness tells you, and don’t allow enough recovery time, and overtrain, you actually slow down gains according to that book.
