I only slept three hours last night. Today I am very paranoid. Is there a link?
I would say so, lack of sleep normally does a number on my symptoms. Ramps everything up
Yes. Try and have a nap or something.
Yes, that’s a problem for me, too. I have chronic insomnia. When I don’t sleep well, or get over exerted, everything acts up… my sza, ptsd, gad w agoraphobia.
yes the more tired I get the worse I get
My pdoc explained it this way… when you’re rested, everything works as it should, if you’re stable. However, being stressed, over heated, or lacking sleep, it lowers ones defenses. That makes your illnesses more pronounced.
I believe so, I got little sleep last night while still taking all my meds and I’m having like these OCD delusions happen to me like looking for signs, and if such and such happens then that will go wrong/right. Trying to change my behavior in little ways so I can avoid bad things from happening. I get that I’m in control of everything and everyone in public and when they stare they are thinking of something negative about me. It gets mentally exhausting and I cant control the behavior, it just happens.
I usually get more paranoid at night before bed. I find it helpful to splash cold water on my face, do yoga stretches and even force myself to yawn a lot. Also I limit caffeine which ramps up my symptoms a bit if I have too much.
I get terribly psychotic when I have little or no sleep.
Yes. If I don’t sleep enough I get psychotic as hell. I need at least 9 hours but I prefer 10 or 11.
My paranoia takes on a life of it’s own when I’m overtired. I don’t have the energy to rationalize and get emotional too.
I get worse with little sleep.
