Anyone else notice more frequent extreme weather?

Especially in North America it seems

We’ve angered the gods and will be a cautionary tale to the rest of the world.

I shall burn a sacrifice of Cow Liver and Onions.

Not so much to appease the Gods, but because I dont want to eat that crap.

No. It is extreme to younger folk. It is normal to those of us alive long enough to recognize the cycles.

No.

It’s it’s changing rapidly and like it hasn’t before in our recorded history.

I went to attach an article to this post,

But there were too many legit sources to even choose from.

From the EPA to NASA.

This is not something anyone has seen in their lifetime.

What will affect us most are small changes to sea temperatures

If the Gulf Stream in the Northern Atlantic collapses the UK and much of Western Europe will see a plunge in temperatures

I’d like to make a comment on electric car policy that would help, but unfortunately it would be politics and I’m not gonna do it.

Sometimes its very frustrating to have something you think is important to say, but be unable here.

Is it political to mention that electric cars are ruining the Congo?

Because I agree that the “green revolution” may not be what it claims to be

I live in Arkansas and there are people here who say the weather has always been strange. Not 103 degrees in September strange. Nah for real though it’s gotten hotter for longer and winter and fall are way more mild. Extreme weather comes with it.

It’s not political

The issue is that people are trying to move faster than the science

At a minimum I expect battery technology to see a few more breakthroughs (there are things happening)

For EVs you will not get the widespread adoption until the range anxiety is fixed

Best way to do that is better battery life not trying to somehow build millions of charging stations around the world

I grew up in Oklahoma…tornadoes are far more prevalent now than they were growing up…used to be once a great while growing up we would have to take shelter…now it’s all the time.

I feel like it’s going worse but my memory may not be serving me well.

You are pretty on target, imo, but i had some additional policy changes i think i would suggest. So mine is political. Having to do with ev costs and the fact that they are too high in the u.s., and probably other places as well, for many people to buy. But i wont get into it.

Im at drs anyway and dont have time to elaboraTe, even if i thought it was appropriate.

Yes, electric cars still damage the environment but not to the same extent as gasoline cars do.

Your right! I agree but we’ve shifted the cost to certain locals in a way that is unjust.
