This happened to me. I was having mood swings until my pdoc put me on Abilify and Cymbalta. I’m fine now. After the Sz diagnosis I was only on an AP for years and having problems.
The first hospital I ever went to they said sza then after that it was sz sz sz over and over. But in 2018 it changed back to sza . The hospital still wrote sz but my pdocs say it’s sza. They probably think sza is a type of sz. But it is clear that I have a mood disorder on top of the sz. My depressions are very long and frequent.
I went from sz to sza to bipolar to sza.

I went from major depression to bipolar to sza to sz to sza. I’ve been diagnosed sza consistently over the past 28 years.
My diagnosis went all over the place but is now sza depressive type.
I was diagnosed sza for about 3 years. At that time I was in and out of the hospital a lot, ending with about two years straight in two long term hospitals.
When I got out I saw a new doctor and he rediagnosed as sz and took me off the mood stabilizers.
I was diagnosed sza for 10 years, then paranoid sz and at last my current schizotypal diagnosis. I have still got some mood issues, but since i have close to none psychotic symptoms and delusion besides intrusive “loud thoughts” i match better my current StPD diagnosis
Yes, first psychiatrist diagnosed me with sza,
I had severe mood swings.
I was taking tegretol, a mood stabilizer.
When I saw the second psychiatrist, I had no mood swings.
I was diagnosed sz then sza depressive type to sza bi polar. I believe I have DID too because of my Alter Ego which is like a Self, but it’s a conscious mind game. I have many other Alters or voices but they morph over time. My main Alter has morphed too but I know it’s him. We have not gotten along, but there’s hope. But I have been able to enjoy life without him. I am happy this morning without it being mania. Yesterday I beat death
once again.
