Can’t seem to focus on these books . I got like 10 dean Koontz novels but I can’t focus on them

I have a couple of books to read and comic books but I can’t focus on them. it sucks because I love reading I just can’t get my brain to slow down.
Yes I have a lot of problems focusing on reading. I really wish I could read again, I used to love reading.
Dont make it a chore make it something you do for pleasure. Alot of ppl read because society has put pressure on them to think that this is what intelligent people do. You shouldnt hokd urself to an expectation eg this is how many pages i must read and if i fail to fulfill it i have to blame myself and direct all this negativity at myself. If you really get into the book naturally you will find youve finished it before you expected. So approach it as a priviledge rather than a punishment.
I tried picking up reading but it didn’t stick…I still have a book I started that I can’t finish…
I’m gonna get back into reading tonight.
I can focus when I read, but I am likely to find the subject matter dry.
I have trouble focusing too. I go through periods where I’ll read like 6-10 books in a month. And then go through a period of like 2-4 months where I only read small things like articles. Back and forth like that a lot.
I find I enjoy non-fiction more for some reason. It holds my interest and grounds me in reality.
My concentrations really bad lately and readings always been a passion so miss that the most.
Oh god don’t remind me lol
