Could you please share your movies and TV, that are mental illness related, or at conceptional level can be translated in to it. I found myself calm at the time I’m watching them, it definitely inspires me in one way or another. Doesn’t have to be super strict, but no western bananas either.
My short lists that I’ve watched already, and rewatched or in process doing it again.
Twelve Monkeys 1995 (Probably one of the best movies)
Mr. Robot 2015 (If not the best TV show entirely period)
The Accountant 2016 (Outstanding movie)
No spoilers please on anything please, especially Mr Robot.
Thank you for sharing.

I like the tv show Firefly, and the movie Serenity that continues the series. One of the characters, River Tam, is a schizophrenic badass. It is the most relatable portrayal of schizophrenia I’ve ever seen.
I loved Jesse Eisenberg in Batman v Superman, he reminded me of what I was like when I was prodromal. And of course there is that scene where Amy Adams tells him “You’re psychotic”, and he responds with something along the lines of “that’s a 3 syllable word for any thought too big for little minds”. That scene was gold.
Love and Mercy. It was a good movie, but it was very triggering and anxiety provoking.
Also, Benny and Joon is good and also adorable. One scene in particular made me anxious, and feeling triggered, but overall a good film.
I liked Love and Mercy. Brian Wilson is a very fascinating person. I love his music. He was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder according to that film. And he’s in his seventies and still makes music. I actually love some of the songs from his latest album.
I am intensely interested in it. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. I am a little sensitive, but more so to horror movies that deal with spiritual stuff.
I read a lot of books and watch a lot of movies that have a cult following. (Cult following meaning - they’re often weird and have a very specific following).
No, it’s been out for a while. It’s not on Netflix, either. I watched in online somehow, and I can’t remember how, sorry.
It’s just provoking because he freaks out and loses his ■■■■ in some scenes, also just the simulations of sounds he hears bothered me.
