I’ll admit to not having seen a good many of the movies.
I have schizophrenia,
I stress it every day.
Watching someone else pretend to be is a little insulting.
It’s also not a fun time watching someone struggle with what everyone perceives as mental illness.
I like movies to be fun.
They don’t have to be happy but they do have to be enjoyable.
Two hours of crazy is my life, give me something different, Hollywood.
I really enjoyed A Beautiful Mind
Great movie!
Both Winona Ryder and Angelina Jolie were brilliant in that movie! I think I’ve seen it three or four times now
Anybody know any good autism movies besides rain man and dating on the spectrum
Pretty cool article. I read most of it.
I really enjoyed Silver Lining’s Playbook. I was actually thinking about buying a copy of it last night.
Proof (2005) with Paltrow and Hopkins is great movie…
Maybe more neurological than psychiatric but Pi was a great movie
Theres this movie about an autistic action hero The Accountant. I really liked it.
Angel Baby was a little Aussie film that was really good. Very depressing but showed a pretty realistic relationship of two mentally ill people. I think they were both sz. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen it.
I am getting ready to watch “words on bathroom walls” stoked to see it…I’ve heard it is good.
cool dude ill check it out! thanks
Donnie Darko, from way long ago.
It was good, better than I thought it would be.
A couple more movies that focus on sz are “Fear of Rain” and “Clean Shaven.”
Both are really good, but Clean Shaven is almost like a horror movie. Very terrifying stuff!
