I am worried. I can’t work full time. But I’m gonna have to work. I almost 100 percent certain that if they invite me to see them I’ll lose it. They don’t care. One assessment (where I got denied pip) I took my partner with me and even then they said I managed the journey in.

On Enhanced PIP here. Ring them up - and tell them to give you a month to sort a letter from your Primary Nurse.
Usually if you have the keywords of “life long Schizophrenia” they leave you alone.

If you have a good relationship with your CPN, get the secretaray to word it for you. Its all keywords these days.
Dont Forget Schizophrenia is classed as a severe mental illness - so if you lay it on a bit thick , you should be ok .

I have the same issue as you milly. I have been diagnosed with unspecified psychosis instead of schizophrenia which is what hospitals write but my actual consultant at the clinic writes psychosis. And keeps changing it to psychosis everytime other drs change it

@AppleKidd @Naarai @LilyoftheValley it’s a good idea but unfortunately I don’t have a cpn. It’s not up for renewal until May but I sent the forms back as they requested. Plus I am in the autism assessment process so if that comes back positive I can use that. I can use those letters

Just because I take my meds and free of psychosis does not mean I don’t suffer but they’ve taken away the help and I haven’t had a cpn in 10 years.

Sorry, but you might have some problems then. They usually like letters from your Lead Practitioner. I hope it goes all ok tho.

I have psychiatrist letters … Basically the copies they send to my GP. I hope the rest of the autism assessment happens soon than later

Autism only managed to get me a score below the requirement for standard, i had to send papers for sz and then they finally offered the standard rate even tho previously i had been on the enhanced. Im still irked by it
Its good youve kept your letters handy, that should add to the assessment positively

Reassessment before last my brother came with me.He stated quite clearly that I couldn’t get to unfamiliar places on my own. The thoroughly dishonest assessor lowered that to ‘needs prompting’. I lost the mobility component. A few years later, due to some fault on the DWP’s part, people were given the chance to have it reassessed/reviewed. I was completely honest, and stated quite clearly why I only went a short distance from home. That was then used by the dishonest s***t munchers at the DWP to say I didn’t qualify , as I didn’t go out enough. I didn’t go to places, because, as I’d stated to them, I had a bad sense of direction and needed help . My daughter took me to essential places for free, but I would’ve been taking the pee ,if I’d done that for non essential journeys to places. It would not be unreasonable to say that a lot of these assessors should be serving prison time for fraudulent behaviour. What made it even worse is that my daughter explained in detail the problems, via a letter supporting my claim.
