I have intractable anxiety. Sometimes it’s due to my sz symptoms. Other times it is independent of sz.
Am on an AD and pregabalin (as well as seroquel). Last pdoc appointment my doc said I could try clozapine.
Does anyone think clozapine may help my anxiety

It could help. It takes a lot of work though. 
Yes it can, in my case it soothed all of my symptoms,
For me it helped with positive symptoms, but not much with negative symptoms. 
Have you tried Buspar? 
Yeah tried 30mg of buspar for about a year. Didn’t notice any benefit
No, clozapine will not help anxiety. Clozapine will actually worsen OCD and anxiety due to its anti-serotonin properties.
You should be on benzo, ask for clobazam as it usually doesnt cause tolerance.

Most of my anxiety stems from paranoia associated with my schizoaffective, and I take 300mg of Clozapine and it has definitely helped not only my psychosis but also anxiety…still have symptoms because its not a cure all.
BUT I wouldn’t take clozapine just for anxiety because in some people it makes anxiety worse…
I have chronic and severe anxiety sometimes stemming from my bipolar symptoms.
My pdoc increased the risperidone dose and I think it’s actually making things worse.
I’m still mood cycling and I cannot control my anxiety.
Benzos don’t work for me, especially if I take it everyday.
I have to contact my psychiatrist today.
Can’t go on like this.
Benzos kinda work for me but to be honest most docs were I live refuse to prescribe them.
@Wave respiridone made my anxiety worse - I think mostly via akathisia
The only safe herbal remedy for anxiety is L-theanine. All the others are risky.

You were on Clozapine before you said. Can you remember if you were anxious on it ?
That’s the thing - I can’t remember.
I think it is time to go on the old l-theanine again. I can say objectively that it does help me
Did you order it from nature’s best ? I’d splash out and get only the good stuff if your anxiety is that bad.
