I personally prefer monogamy but too many people choose more than one partner at the same time.
I think it’s human nature
What’s the other option(s)?

I’m not sure!
All my exes lasted about a year.
I’m not sure it is even natural for humans to be monogamous.
Other people don’t stop being attractive even when you are with someone monogamously, especialy after the love/lust rush.
For offspring reasons, a sole provider may seem attractive, but even then so many realtionships fail.
I think in the past monogamy was indoctirinated into us, but marriage isn’t seen as lifelong commitment anymore, is it?
Don’t confuse monogamy with lifelong marriage.
Many people nowadays are serially monogamous, meaning they find a partner to whom they stay loyal until one of them calls it quits. Rinse and repeat.

being married is part of my identity…if I lost my wife I am sure I would marry again.
When I date I stick with one woman. Never cheated, but I’ve been cheated on. When I worked at the hospital hot resident girls would hit on me. When I use to go out a lot of women approached me, but i always fought temptation. Sometimes it was hard. Now, I’m mostly inside except a few days a week I get out. It’s like I’m invisible. I prefer it that way for the moment. Good things.
