What is the deal with self esteem being so necessary and pride putting me at odds with my fellow human? What is the difference? I guess it all depends on your belief in intrinsic value. What is your take on this conundrum?

I think both pride and self esteem are good. Pride makes u proud of urself and this increases ur self esteem they are interconnected directly.
Need to learn to see where I went lopsided n wat I’m doing about it to feel pride for my effort for the cards I’ve been dealt
I like humility. Because without ego, you don’t need to be courageous. If that makes sense.

I like humility too. Because when I try to see everyone as an equal, it is challenging, but when I view people as either greater or lesser than me, I am able to do it.
And when I view people as greater than me, I feel better as opposed to viewing people as lesser than me, it is really strange

It’s ok to be proud, just not to the point it becomes arrogance and thinking you’re better than everyone else

Low self esteem means at the least you always lose or get treated badly. At the worst you get taken advantage of or ignored.

For me self-esteem is something intrinsic and precious, and fragile. I’m getting better at building such a thing.
Pride and honor and things like that are not for me, i regard it as a bit superficial.
