For me, it’s knowing that I don’t know anything. That knowledge that I don’t know stops me from believing that my subjective interpretations of reality in any way reflect the truth

I think it might be serving those around you…washing the proverbial feet of everyone and taking on the role as the door holder, honouring all the others as they enter the feast, and entering in after.
Making yourself the server; treating all others as if they were kings and queens

Its kinda like the cinderella story…slave for a while but she was made a princess.
In the beginning she was scrubbing the floors people walked on. In the end she had the prince slipping the clear glass slipper on her own feet.

Humility can be creating the perception of unimportance or really being unimportant. The former would be the royal humbly shook hands with the common folk and the latter would be being a humble subsistence farmer.

Service toward others i think helps us overcome envy and pride. Because when we serve others were invested in them and can be truly happy for them because its like when they succeed we do too.
Call me crazy but i think the sisters in the film may represent envy and the mother pride lol

I would say it is a willingness to play a smaller roll if your abilities are not needed. It is not the opposite of pride. It is taking pride in your willingness to do what you can and not seek acclaim for it.

I find a lot of people are really concerned about how humble someone else is. If you look at someone and are bothered by the fact that they are jerks and need to be more humble your doing it wrong and thats your own exagerated sense of self importance.

i dont do peoples anymore. comparisons. better. worse. beautiful. ugly, all is different and that is all. if only peoples could not judge.

If it just means not being arrogant then I get it.
But if it means thinking of oneself as lower than the rest of humanity then I don’t understand why

Its really not a practical idea. Its really abstract and philosophical. Theres not really a therefor its more a way of thinking or looking at people. Basically yeah not arrogant is true enough

I think if humility means appreciating other people and not looking down on ppl but realising you can learn from them. That’s cool.
But if it means thinking your less worthy than the rest of humankind that’s just nonsense imo? Idk…
