The religiosity here is rampant. I’m thinking of starting a group chat to help balance things for me. (The last thing we’ll wind up talking about is spirituality or God.) I want a place to talk about real ■■■■ without interference.
If anyone is interested just reply here. If there are enough replies I’ll start the chat and start sending invites.
God only knows we’ve got our ■■■■ together and we see the world clearly.
@SoitGoes , don’t know what we’d talk about , I’m not an evangelist , but I do get you , the unusual beliefs section or threads that should clearly be in this section have increased rwpidly in the last few weeks.
It would just be a place for all of to talk about day to day ■■■■. You wouldn’t have to participate but the convo would always be there if you wanted to run something by a more selective crowd. Seems like more and more threads are referencing God in some form.
I just want a way of keeping in touch with the realist crowd.
I don’t really know what we’d talk about either, but it’d be interesting to find out.
If religion was a drug im trying to get clean. All the junkies on here are just bringing me down.
Lots of people go through this , just take a break , and come back with specific questions that will help you to recover , engaging in philosophy with people who are schizophrenic is not likely to give you satisfying answers 
It wasn’t intended to be philosophical thing. Just wanted to talk with some real people.
If no one is interested then that’s cool too.
I’d be interested. I have only been on this site for a few days, but I have noticed the excessive nature of religious references in a lot of posts. It frustrates me where they draw the line between delusion and religious beliefs.
That’s grand , there are people here that are reasonable and will look to help you out.

I think this is a good idea- I posted asking “Who else here is an atheist?” and it got moved to the delusions section. WTF atheism is not a belief that is out of touch with reality, it is about STRICT ADHERENCE to reality.
Correct. And to be precise, it is a LACK of a belief.
I’d be interested in trying it out.
But it reminds me of Alan Watts’ classification of the “prickles and the goos” when I get tired of reading “sentimental” posts and then you bring up the idea of an atheist commune.

We don’t have a Religious Discussions forum or a Can we please not discussion religion here forum. Since religious discussions wind up many of the members, they get shoved into Unusual Beliefs. This is not ideal, but it keeps the threads out of the main Diagnosed forum where they will cause more headaches (keep in mind that many of the people visiting this site are triggered by religious topics and don’t want to trip over them for health reasons). That being said, discussing atheism also triggers people, dust-ups start, so those threads get moved as well.
@mortimermouse: You need to remember that you are the exception rather than the rule when it comes to your functioning level. This site has to cater to Szs in all stages of recovery, many of them who are nowhere close to where you are.
What would be really nice is if religious discussions could be kept off this site. Don’t see that happening any time soon.

My doctor has told me what I thought also, that people have created “God” (and of course not “God” people, I’ ve heard it/read it from another source as well). I do believe though that we are all connected in some way, in the power of Universe. But I don’t believe in Christianic God, Allah, Budha, etc. I hope I am welcome here?
I wouldn’t see why not. Philosophy is not taboo as long as it is recognized as such.
I think this will work as its not in public view. I think it’ll prevent us from feeling like we have to represent.
The others are free to start their own groups.
That’s an ideal solution.
