My understanding is that all chatrooms are crap
we used to do PM group chats on this site,
but I believe the people who started are gone,
or changed their profile name.
they were okay
until my name came up, and it was like group harassment.
idk.
you can always start one on here if you want.
happens a lot on Facebook.

I could start a zoom chat if anyone wants to join. I have it set to 9pm I can post the join link? I have it set to mute upon entry so it wont share unless you unmute yourself. It wont be recorded.

We don’t allow links to outside social media and such and the rules strongly advise against contact outside of this forum, so I suspect that a zoom chat link would not be allowed. If you want to start something like this, I would recommend that you do it via pm as I don’t think a link via the public forum is appropriate and in line with the rules.

Ok thats what I wanted to check. I would want to keep it anonymous but that can be difficult with a chatroom. I was going to call it “Mental Wellness Check-in” and we could meet weekly to talk about things, without showing video just through audio and with random usernames.
I respect the rules and anonymity of the forum. I’m in several of those types of groups already anyways.

I had some stock in Zoom after the virus hit, but I think I bought it too late as it did not perform well. I sold it.

I don’t think we are allowed to post links but if you search for different permutations of schizophrenia chat room or community there are some I think. Used to be anyway. Also chat rooms were originally IRC which may help although I think that is kind of a wild west situation.
