I haven’t had regular television cable in years, probably all of my adult life.
We just got satellite installed at the new house and I’ve noticed some programming trends.
Is everything about ghosts these days?
There are like five channels right now with nothing but shows about paranormal stuff.
If I this had been the case when I was psychotic,
No doubt I’d be dead.

My mom has seen all the ghost shows countless times. she is obsessed with them and the psychic medium shows. It’s pure garbage. I don’t understand the popularity

they never actually show a ghost or any real evidence
i have seen ghosts twice. once i was with my friend and the other time with my uncle. They both saw the same thing i saw. They are harmless. the ghost shows act like all ghosts are demons. i dont believe in demons
I used to love them but most of it is fake. But the novelty wore off eventually.

Ghost TV show.
You don’t even have to know how to operate a camera, or be interesting.
Just go to a creepy place, look scared, say something scratched you, hear things, determine the haunting is legit despite lack of any evidence.
Good thing I don’t have tv. Those shows are detrimental to my wellbeing. Gets me thinking about ghosts too much.

Me, too. I’ve seen several “ghosts”, but my husband thinks they’re just hallucinations. I’ll probably never know which side is the truth.
I was watching Supernatural, a popular show, and they sometimes have “schizophrenics” who turn out to be sane and seeing real ghosts and demons and legitimately hearing angels speak. That really messes with me, 'cause then I wonder if I’m not sick and that it’s real. It’s a good show, but not good for people like us.

Yeah I used to watch that show a lot it’s really messed with my head. I even have a “guardian angel” named castiel.
And walking around with those detector things that apparently pick up ‘negative energy’ from evil spirits… like mate, what are you doing?

I think people are generally just fascinated by what modern science can’t explain.
NDE’s, bigfoot, ghosts, the mysterious man who serves your sauerkraut at the cafeteria etc.
