I am having akathisia from 80mg latuda and risperdal 0.5mg. My next dose is 1mg and then 2mg risperdal with 80mg latuda. I fear the akathisia will just get worse.
I just took 2mg benztropine. Psy said its for tremors. I read online it helps akathisia.
Its been 15min and I still have akathisia.
How long does it takes to make effect?
Did you try benztropine?
Was it prescribed for akathisia?
I woke up from akathisia and can’t sleep now from it. Its not dangerous but its a really annoying feeling, I keep moving my hands and feets in bed with my eyes shut trying to sleep.
It took me day or two to start working
For me it had to build up in my system. It’s about 6 days every time you increase the dose. I take 3 mg of benztropine and it works. 2 mg wasn’t enough for me.
I take 30mg of diazepam and 20mg of procycldine for it.
Might end up on a beta blocker
It worked, I was able to sleep. It just needed more time to work. Psy said to take it when needed up to 4mg. I think it should get better once I stop the latuda and start 3mg risperdal.
