I’m scared of many things in this world…terrorists, murderers, that sort of thing…there is more good ppl in life than bad I think…but it’s those types of ppl I am afraid of meeting one day…what about you? what are you afraid of?

I don’t have a sense of fear, but I get worried sometimes, trying to live up to people’s expectations, but I’m trying to be more of an individual these days, hope that’s right! Lol

I am afraid of people that I saw on the news that do things for no reason. Like just get in the car and go around and shoot people just to do it.

I’m afraid of WWIII and also potential civil war in this country (USA)… Global warming and the rich and their plans…It gets talked about! Hopefully everything will simmer down but it’s hard not to see things trending towards a hard boil.

I’m afraid of Amazon putting satellites in orbit and eventually building orbital habitats for the wealthy

We can take solace in humanity. Most people do not want war. But there are powerful forces behind arms development and proliferation. I’m talking of the military industrial complex and their lobbying power in US. Our geopolitics are defined by war tactics. It makes me sad

I’m afraid one day we won’t value human rights the way we do now. Idk how that would happen but it seems like something we would do given enough time

I think it’s just my sz but sometimes I think in the future we might not always value life in the way we do now. I really don’t know bro…it’s a gut feeling that we will eventually move away from ideas like equality and human dignity for all.
Like the way western society thinks might not always hold and maybe some of those ideas will give way to things more beneficial…like progress will eventually move away from current culture of tolerance and human rights …
I’m just talking ■■■■ but I think about it sometimes

No I hear you. It’s a theme for sure. I think, though, that it’s super pessimist. I have to believe that part of historical development is the appropriation of values. Things used to be very bizarre… Human rights was non existent and war was commonplace. Maybe I’m wrong and my perspective is eurocentric. But I think we are ethically developing. Separation of church and state for example, was important.

Yea man…I don’t really know alot about it but it does seem like we are moving in the right direction… The wilderness is what scares me tho. Like when I was younger I took those values and cultural norms as absolutes… I guess dealing with SZ / abuse whatever it woke me up to the real possibility that it doesn’t have to be like this…
Real talk I don’t think it’s likely that we return to less stable conditions but it’s crazy as hell that it’s even a possibility. Feel like whatever is happening to me took me out of the garden man …
