Aesop's Fable 7 May 2017

The Cat and the Birds.

A cat heard that the birds in an aviary were ailing. So he got himself up as a doctor, and, taking with him a set of instruments proper to his profession, presented himself at the door, and inquired after the health of the birds. “We shall do very well,” they replied, without letting him in, “when we’ve seen the last of you.”

A villain may disguise himself, but he will not deceive the wise.

what magical place is this… the cat got news of bird business… found a tiny doctors outfit and tiny doctor tools and went to go eat the sick birds… and somehow the birds had seen this crap before and wanted no part in the ole cat doctor ploy… this place sounds wonderful… and hilarious…

I’m going overseas today so there won’t be any fables for about a fortnight while I’m away. A little over a fortnight.

A fortnight is a unit of time equal to 14 days (2 weeks). The word derives from the Old English: fēowertyne niht, meaning “fourteen nights”. ahh @Csummers beat me to it… good work we should have wrote the answer in binary…
