Advice on my family and others pressuring me to marry

Hello everyone.how are doing?I hope we’ll.May God grant us health.so I’m a 32 year old male with schizophrenia(schizoaffective to be specific),was diagnosed about 8years ago but have had symptoms since I was 13. I’m honestly better and stable now compared to a few years ago. I’m on risperidone and fluoxetine (Prozac) and the meds help alot. I’m relatively functioning but I had to drop out of university cause my cognition is really bad. I started working in my father’s poultry farm 3 years ago and it’s not too stressful.my problem is everyone is just suggesting I should get married and to be honest I really do want to but I don’t think I can support a family financially. Relationships and marriage are stressful on their own let alone when mental illness is involved. My doctor says alot of people with similar conditions are married and coping but I keep telling them I can’t get married. I see a lot of ladies that I like sometimes and I become interested but then a few symptoms flare up and I become ambivalent.one minute I decide I can marry some minutes later I change my mind. Another thing is the Prozac makes me less interested in intimacy from its side effects. And the thing is in my culture and religion we are encouraged to marry. Who here faces a similar problem and was able to find a solution.who here is married and coping, how do you cope financially. Worse part is in my country there’s no such thing as disability benefits.thank. I wish you all the best and a quick recovery

If you don’t want to marry then just don’t. That said, my husband and I are both disabled, and we’re dirt poor with children. But we are happy together. We have a good relationship. He’s physically and emotionally disabled and I’m diagnosed as having complex ptsd and SZA. It can work. It’s possible to be poor and happy. But like I said, if you don’t want to marry you shouldn’t because a lot of effort goes into a happy marriage. And your heart won’t be in it which is no good. What country do you live in?

I didn’t think I was ever going to be healthy enough to marry someone until I came across Daily Essential Nutrients by Hardy Nutritionals.

My head pressure was too pronounced for me to concentrate on anything technical, so my ability to work was considerably hindered. But now, 2 months into it, I am able to concentrate in 30 minute bursts, with 10 min breaks. Things seem like they will improve gradually as well. I have hope again!

The founder of that supplement has two kids, a bipolar daughter and schizophrenic son, that are now well and with families due to the healing potential of it.

Thanks for the information.so reducing carbs really help with cognitive symptoms.i appreciate that

I do low fat, high carb. Trying to avoid table sugar though, that has a bad effect on gut flora.

Weight is stable, losing it very slowly, like maybe 1/2 pound a week, and I am always full or content.

Arthritis is controlled. I am mobile enough to move around comfortably and do biking and resistance band exercise.
