ADHD & antipsychotic medications and heart problems

I’m currently with no medication for ADHD as they seem to mess with my pulse and heart rythm. Clozapine has caused me tachycardia and now it seems all ADHD meds make my heart race even faster. Last I tried atomoxetin and it made my heart bounce out of my chest. Now that I’m with no ADHD meds my heart is fine but I keep on doing stupid stuff as there’s no help from the meds. My pulse in rest was around 100-110 on atomoxetin.

Is there any hope for me to find good medication for ADHD that doesn’t mess with pulse? My doc needs to talk to a psychiatrist, and during that time I’m off ADHD meds. They really help me but my heart is scaring me.

did you try Guanfacine? or maybe talking to your doctor to take a drug to lower your heart rate while taking your current drugs (antipsychotics+atomoxetine)

yeah i had to quit mine (APs) party cause of EKG changes. t-waves inverted and low aplitude. im getting tested cause it never turned back to normal.

I’m on Clozapine and it gave me a bit of a fast heart rate
I’m taking propranolol to lower it

I had the same problem with abilify. I split my dose half in the morning and half at evening and now my heart is fine.

I can even take double the dose now. As long as I split it up through the day and not all at once

maybe splitting the dose would be an option? I don’t know as adhd meds should work during the day. I need to ask…

I hope my doctor will find an answer.
