Asked for Prozac added to Risperdal. Hoping it helps OCD and anxiety. Any similar experience?

It’s common to take an antidepressant with an antipsychotic so hoping it helps with your ocd and anxiety. There is a lot more options these days if the prozac doesn’t work so keep trying for better function. It makes a big difference in my life taking effexor.
Adding prozac(fluoxetine) to risperdal(risperidone) will increase the blood levels of risperidone and can worsen ocd in some people.
Antidepressants can help counteract the side effects of antipsychotics, such as OCD. I don’t know if OCD came about after starting medication or not, but speaking from personal experience it’s often common as a diagnosis alongside schizophrenia, but also it’s there because of medication, or worsens with atypical antipsychotics. I know it did for me that’s for sure. I am trying paxil, 2 weeks on for PTSD and OCD. It is too early to say. Ciprolex offered some help with anxiety and OCD for sure, but made me feel blunted. I don’t know much about prozac though.
