So Im on 3mg risperidone and now 5mg abilify has been added to the mix, if I cope with the abilify next month risperidone will be dropped to 1.5mg. Plan is to over the next few months switch totally over to 10mg abilify. So far probably to early to tell if the abilify will do anything for libido or prolactin but hoping it will as personally would like to be on 1.5mg risperidone and 0.5 abilify. Im worried about dropping risperidone totally because its working so well.

Good luck with this med adjustment. I’m also on risperidone 4ml and abilify 2.5mg. Did you asked your pdoc for this switch? I cant suggest new meds to try myself or dosages etc to my pdoc, she doesnt care for what i want, its so ssad for me.
I asked the doctor that I wanted to try abilify due to libido issues. Hoping Abilify will help with this, didnt have the problem when was on Fluonxol but they switched me to risperidone after a relapse.
I choose with my doctor the treatment going forward.

I’ve switched to Abliify Maintena from Invega Trinza and I’ve experienced a boost of both libido and energy.
I’ve also Just switched from paliperidone depot to abilify depot.
It’s been 8 months since last Trinza shoot I might add. Guess it’s still some of it left in the system.

So far almost one week on 0.5mg abilify and no negative side effects. Mood is up and so is energy. Will keep everyone posted on my switch.
