Low dose Abilify as an add on!

Because of bipolar cycling issues my psychiatrist decided to lower the Lamictal back down to 25mg and she decided to add 2mg of Abilify to my med cocktail of Risperdal, Depakote and Lamictal.

I’m a bit nervous starting back the Abilify but I’ve been on this drug for years in the past.

I’m actually looking forward to the energy this drug will give me.

Plus hopefully it should help my SD issues by lowering prolactin

I should be receiving the Abilify right away

I ordered it through express delivery

My Dr added Abilify to my risperidone but it still made me hypersexual. Good luck with it!

i added abilify to my haldol and felt way less paranoid…its so much better

Take it at night to stop agitation during the day

She’s starting me off on the lowest dose possible, 2mg

She’s going to keep me at this dose for a while with the Risperdal

If I tolerate it well, my doctor will switch me over exclusively to Abilify only, no more Risperdal

But she’s taking things slow and cautious

My doctor told me to take it in the morning or afternoon

It gives me insomnia at night

Yes, definitely take it early. It wound me up when i was on 30 mg, and if I took it any later than 10 am, I had bad insomnia. Helped symptoms though.

Was on it with a huge dose of Wellbutrin too, which was a bad combination. Too stimulating

Good luck with it! I know you’ve been curious about getting off the Risperdal. I really hope this works out for you.

I was on abilify and just abilify as a teenager it helped eliminate my psychosis just as much as haldol does now it was a miracle till it stopped working when I was 21

if i stay on medicine thats what i wanna do. replace haldol with abilify, right now i just take both of them

I took my first dose a little while ago
So far feeling a little medicated but tolerating it well.
But I know it’s too early

You proberbly will overcome your sexual dysfunction because that drug really made me so horny that I went on the screen to watch naked Ladies insanely much. Thank god I’m that viagra(Abilify) any more.

Abilify made me hypersexual, I was addicted to sex, wasted lots of money and risked my life and health.

It’s been more than 2 hours since I took my first dose and so far no anxiety!

But I know it’s such a low dose.

But so far I’m tolerating it well!

I’m so happy!

If you develop anxiety, it’s not the end of the world . There are supplements and meds for that.

If I’m still tolerating the Abilify after one month I’m going to ask my doctor to make the official switch from Risperdal to Abilify!

I’m so glad! What a pleasant surprise!

But I shouldn’t rejoice yet, it’s way too early.
But off to a good start
