(abuse alert) i have to stop making DIY drugs

I don’t know if this cross the line. Please, mods, remove it if it does.

In my garden i grow opium poppies for consumption (tea from the the pods)
My life seems devoid of happiness. Life.
Unless i take a cup of “poppy tea” - then everything is fine for a couple of hours, then back to the lifeless life again - and a hell of sideeffects. Constipation, ithcing, bad sleep.

I think if i stop drinking my “tea” then i will find other ways to regain the joy of life, but you can’t go to the rehab center and say im making my own opium tea!. They would laugh at me.
I told my psychiatrist i did it, but she had never heard of opium before and couldn’t advice me.

Is that even legal where you are ?

Seriously?.

Your Psychologist Doesn’t Know What “opium” is?.

It not illegal to grow poppies, only for consumption and sale and i could never sell anything that harms other people. I give it away for some of my friends.

I hope that’s true. You could get thrown in jail.

i did some reading about poppy tea a while back and i remember that there is morphine, codeine and other compounds that contribute to it having more of an effect than just like one opioid. its kind of a loophole due to poppy seeds being sold as food

She is used to abusers of cocaine, heroine, not opium. It’s an old drug.I told her that it’s very similar to morphine, but she was just bewildered.

Yes, i have been on “poppy seed tea” to. The compounds are “codeine morphine, and thebaine” - Thebaine is the reason for the bad sleep on opium. You just nod, without falling to deep sleep.

No, i don’t think so. The police in my country have their hand full with coke addicts. They don’t bother. Yet.

It’s quite a serious offence to grow poppies in most European countries.

They grow everywhere, we have in demmark a very famous gardener who shows his beautiful poppy garden without any complaints. Of course if you grow a “field” and not in your garden, then the police will notice.

Your psychiatrist has never heard of opium?

Yea maybe. Im waiting for my amisulprid to kick in. I have just started at 50 mg and i feel a little better. (Negative symptoms). If it works against my negative symptoms at 200 mg, i will throw my stash out and never go back to opiates.

Yes she had heard, but i had to inform her it was pretty much the same as morphine, just with more sideeffects. She didn’t knew.

These are some of the opium side effects. Cocaine also causes itching. Its too addictive. We had a case here where someone died from drinking too much opium tea.

I wouldn’t mind trying some of that tea. Ages ago I did heroin a few times and absolutely loved it. Thankfully I don’t have much of an addictive personality/ Codeine is also very enjoyable.

I wish had the stamina just to enjoy occasionally, i did for 4 years, but lately, because of my negative symptoms, i do it every day.

Are you still doing fine without medications?

Yes its lethal and it’s difficult to measure the right dosis. Every single pod can have different amount of alkaloids, so stay away from poppy pods. Even poppy seed tea can kill you.
