I guess some people get the idea that socially we are totally sex driven. I’m saying abstinence requires a network of friends for support and interaction as well.

My partner and I have been unofficially sexually abstinent for awhile (years 
). It was triggered by a trauma but both of us kind of just realized we’re happy this way for now and we’re perfectly content in our relationship. It’s definitely not the norm for most. Most of our friends don’t know because it just seems more trouble than it’s worth to put them through the worry when there’s no need.
