When I was in the 4th grade a classmate was trying to tell me one didn’t have to be married to have a baby. I didn’t believe her and went straight to our teacher and said “You have to be married to have a baby don’t you.” At which time my friend piped up “No you don’t. My sister’s not married and she has a baby.” The teacher hesitated just a moment and said to me, “Well, no, you don’t have to be married to have a baby.” In my ignorance, I felt like, well, Duh!!!. The facts of life came clear later.

So what is the lesson? Young people just do not know facts of the life? I do not know?
I had no sex education until I was 10 and then it was brief and clinical. I’m not sure I understood even then.
At a time in the not too distant past it was unconceivable that a baby would be had outside of marriage. You were probably infected by that.

child birth is best when both parents are married
I tend to disagree. I have heard that single moms have an easier time of childbirth but in the same breath they said they thought it was because, when they were pregnant, single moms held their stomachs in more due to shame. It’s a cruel world of gossip sometimes.

well if the parents are married the mother giving birth has the father to abuse and cuss at while she is going through pain

Marriage is just a religious&patriarchal social construct used to legitimate
an ownership of women bodies.
Either way, men are overrated.
and most of them are pretty useless.

I am living in a society where people have children and they are not married, they are living together with children and then there are many men who have children with many women, societies are different in this way.
One son of one ex-communist leader has at least two children with three women, so six children all together. You know our societies are different.
