Abilify sucks if you want to try supplements in my experience

NAC:

This seems to make Abilify less effective. It gave me suicidal ideation.

200mg magnesium:

This just made me feel completely “off” for the entire next day.

B12

Uncomfortable heart pressure

It’s pretty hit and miss, as I’ve had success with other supplements such as

Beta alanine
L-theanine
Broccoli sprout extract

I gotta do b12 at some point.

Hopefully I don’t get same side effects u had gotten.

Abilify saved my life. I don’t really know what I’d do without it. I do still need to stay up on my supplements though. I take a daily multivitamin when I can remember but that’s not very often.

Abilify has been a godsend for me. Not only cause it worked for me but also because of the low cost. I could not afford the $1000 meds for a long time but with a month’s supply of Abilify costing only $50, it made me able to get on a.p.'s. so kinda saved my life.

I’ve had similar experience with supplements on olanzapine. Sometimes weird effects or no effects at all. L-thanine for example made me go psychotic

The ones I take currently is vitamin d, omega 3, coq10(this has no effect but I’m taking it anyway) and melatonin at night.

Abilify for me too has been a God send.

I have been on it now for two months and reached its maximum effect.

I hope to do some volunteering work in the near future.

Just to clarify.

I do not mean that Abilify sucks in general, just that it seems to interact with a lot of supplements.

I was told by my doctor not to take supplements

I take Abilify (godsend here, too), and I take multivitamins and calcium supplements. My biggest interaction problem is usually my Xarelto. I have so many side effects going on that I don’t know if I’d notice…

I take sodium valproate too and read somewhere that it can increase to the risk of bone fractures so I do cheat and take a multivitamin and mineral.

I found in the past that I had a low sperm count which was bolstered by taking a multivitamin/mineral.

It said on the BBC news website that sodium valproate increases the risk of baby deformities so no more children for me.

Thats the problem; a lot of supplements interact with our hormones and neurochemistry. With our meds in the other direction? Its like tug-of-war with your brain. Its a shame. I use ZMA before bed, touch wood no problems.
