Does anyone know if it’s possible or beneficial to be on Abilify and Rexulti at the same time? What about Abilify and Vraylar? Does anyone have experience with one of those combinations?

The Abilify is working fairly well for my positives and negatives but I am also on clozapine. I don’t want to be on clozapine anymore and I’m not sure how much the Abilify will help on it’s own. Because of that I’m trying to think up med combinations that I could possibly try if I come off of clozapine and the Abilify alone isn’t enough. Rexulti, Vraylar, and Caplyta are the only 3 atypical APs that I haven’t tried that are available in the US

You should check with your doctor for those information. Maybe try caplyta?it’s the newest medicine in your country and the lowest D2 occupancy

How do you know it is just the Abilify and not the clozapine too? You didn’t say why you don’t want to be on clozapine anymore? It sounds like you are doing good with this combo, with your positives and negatives, why mess with a good thing?

I don’t want to be on clozapine anymore because it has raised my cholesterol dangerously high, it gives me tremors, bad constipation, causes me to drool badly, sedates me too much, and has caused a lot of weight gain. I also am sick of getting my blood drawn even if it’s only biweekly. To me, it’s not worth the side effects as I was on clozapine alone before starting the Abilify. When the Abilify was added my negatives and positives both started improving.

Okay, that’s different then, you didn’t mention any of that. I quit olanzapine because of all the side effects I was having so I was in the same boat as you, different side effects, although I also had very high cholesterol too, my doctor said all these side effects were life threatening. I eventually switched to Lurasidone and have done really well with that.
If things improved after you started abilify then can you not try abilify by itself? See what happens while on abilify alone. Without combining it with something else?
I tried abilify back in 2012 but it didn’t work for me, I became psychotic.

I only take one antipsychotic and that’s abilify by injection. It should work okay, not the best anti psychotic.

I take only abilify 300mg injection each month. When I first started taking the pills I remember it made me feel a bit stoned, just like a tranquilizer. Now I dont notice any differences.3 years later my negatives still persist maybe a touch better. My positives are gone. So far no side effects

Sure I force myself. I go to bed by 10pm up at 7am go out for walk with the dog. I take the dog for long walks, one in the morning and one at night . I’m on the internet throughout the day doing nothing so I force myself those walks and nice hot bath afterwards
