How often do you see your pdoc? I have not seen my one for about 7 or 8 months now and I am just wondering if that is normal. I have stopped getting services from the CMHT and I kind of just realized that the only support I get now is that 20 minute sit down with my pdoc about twice a year. Is that the regular period to see them?

I’ve seen one once since I’ve been here and that was last October. I’ve been here since September 2017. I think it’s because I’m a chronic rather than acute case.

Used to be every 3 - but now its 6 months. Always a stressful time for me so im glad its less often. So long as they keep refilling my med script, im not bothered when i get to see them. Im just after the drugs - the rest i do on my own. 
.
But if i do need support i know i can always ring the Duty Social Worker, but thats only to ask permission for a med increase when i have one of my “wobbles” lol

Whilst with the CMHT I’m meant to see pdoc about every 6 months but once I leave the CMHT team which happens automatically after three years of psychosis onset, I don’t see them at all.

I’m currently seeing my psychiatrist about every 3 months, with a visit from my CPN about once a month. When I’ve been acutely unwell I’ve had visits with my psychiatrist once a fortnight, and visits from my CPN every few days. The regularity increases when I am really unwell and decreases when I’m doing a bit better.

Once a year my psychiatrist… My Nurse once a month.
If I need my doctor or I’m unwell I see more of her.

They wanted to move it to every 6 months but I refused. The CMHT are only there for you in bad times. Once you’re stable enough they will disappear. Was a shock the first time it happened to me.

I see mine routinely every 6 months. I see community nurse every month but he comes and sees me if I’m having problems. I also attend NHS day centre for people with learning disabilities Monday, Tuesday and Friday and they monitor my moods and behaviour, if they noticed a decline they can contact community nurse, if I’m in decline I normally get fitted into see pdoc within a couple of days. I have had the same pdoc for 5 years is he knows me well.
