The oak tree it blows
In the wind
Hanging on
To it’s limbs
The songbird sings the hymn
Near the front lawn by the road
A man sets his sights
On lumber for firewood
It’s his desire and he thinks he could
Just end 100 years of history
Started out, a giving tree
It gave its leaves, its seeds
To the people
It’s shade
While they’re sipping lemonade
Later, some kids climbed to the top
Some think it’s fine to stop
The life of this living thing
But the community comes to stop
Immunity!!!
For this perennial Woody plant
Crawling up the ants
Darling yes, the man
Says I didn’t know!
But still I gotta go
Make energy, and bring my family warmth
But man the darkness lurks
In the dead rotting wood of the tree
If you cut it down, yes, you will feel fire at your knees
But you’ll be a liar to the environment
Bent over at the fact. You ended this life, when you hacked. Away at the oxygen.
I’m sobbing. While he’s.
Robbing Mother Nature. For her flavor.
But yeah in the end we saved her!
Until the next once-ler comes for the Lorax once again…
