I used to be a dog person when I was younger, had 2 dogs growing up. I enjoyed their people pleasing ways…but fast forward to now and I hate dogs. I see threat whenever im around one. the neighbors all have dogs and they bark at me even when im on my own property. the lady across the street got some kind of pitbull mix…they had their house broken into and now they got this dog that clearly doesn’t like me. I hate it. my point is im thinking of getting a cat, they don’t bark, they rarely if ever will bite a human, the worst they’ll do is claw you with their paw. cat’s it is.
If you love animals, go for it!!
I have had cats and dogs all my life, I totally love cats.
Cats can be super loyal and require a lot less maintenance then a dog.
We have two cats. We adopted them from an animal shelter, so they were great cats, just in need of a good home. Be sure to get a cuddly cat that likes laps. They are the greatest. They always help me feel better when I’m stressed.
I love both cats and dogs. I have one of each. They are so much fun when they play fight.
I’m a cat person. Interesting and amusing little creatures who pay it back in spades. Get a rescue kitten and treat it good and it’ll treat you good. Cats pretty much look after themselves so you just need to feed, clean the litter and have cuddles. Much more manageable than dogs in my opinion!
No cats don’t bite, but they do a body slam in your face when your allergic to them and have asthma… Speaking from experience, that cat tried to kill me and almost succeeded
I am definitely a cat person. I don’t really care for most dogs. Cats, on the other hand, are right up my alley. My neighbor has two dogs that come into our yard and bark at me. I don’t like them very much.
Dogs sense when your afraid of them. If you hesitate at all around them, they’ll think they need to protect their territory you just entered.
I love both dogs and cats- and birds and rats. had all of them in our house growing up- as well as a tarantula, ducks, rabbits and What else am I forgetting?
I dunno.
Currently I have 5 indoor only cats (my first indoor only kitty passed away last year at 19 1/2 years, got her at 5 weeks old).
Also 4 outdoor only cats I feed every day- strays that stay.
Outfoor kitties peeking in the bathroom window- they’re hungry and pestering me for food.
I’m not much of a dog person either. Big dogs intimidate me, and the little dogs i just find annoying. I don’t like dog’s people pleasing personalities. They’re always so energetic and eager. I have a cat and he’s perfect. He’s indoor, very loving, doesn’t make a mess, cleans himself and never scratches or bites. I would definitely recommend a cat.
Both cat and dog person here. Bipet!
Right now i have a cat, but plan on having one more cat and a dog. All adopted.
Animals are great to have. It’s so funny how we understand each other and we are whole different species.
And you will not understand how anxious you are until you hear and feel cat purring.
Sorry your feelings about dogs changed. It sounds stressful! But you do you, nothing wrong with being a cat person. I have a dog and a cat so I’m both!
did some more thinking about it and im paranoid that i’ll end up with a cat that will spray all over the house. their only downside. that started happening with my brother’s cat so they got rid of it. I don’t want my place smelling like cat pee. im not sure if i’m going to get one now…going to think it over some more.
If it sprays in the house, it might need a castration.
Cats are great pets
