A new kind of spam

I get these calls every day. I answer the phone and say hello and there’s silence. I don’t know what these are, they started about a month ago. They mostly come from the same area code, anyone else get these?

Yes, I’ve gotten these too. It could be a Robo call.

These are quite common.

It’s so they want you to call back up so they can try to scam you? (yes ive gotten em, can’t be anything else than a scam)

Are you in the US? You guys have a site where you can check for reports on numbers? I use one in my country (if the caller is calling from within the country), if they are calling from another country, then it’s just to ignore it… can’t possibly be anything else than a scam if you don’t have business outside

IDK, I’ve called a few of them back when they were missed calls and a live person never answers.

Maybe the scammers don’t have capacity to take your call, if they are busy with others. I dunno, maybe someone else know more about it. They are very annoying, I always search for the number calling, if it’s from another country though I never take it and don’t search for the number. Seems like there’s a huge rise in phone scams the last years. I’ve gotten lots of BS calls and at one point a shady text message that was 100% a scam.

I have a call blocker set up on my phone. Callers have to listen to a number and punch it in on their keypad for their call to get through. All robocalls stopped as soon as I turned that on with my carrier. Pure bliss.

Anyone who gets through gets a message saying I never answer my phone or check voicemail so text that number instead or fack off.
