A crazy workout I'm doing

I get two broomsticks and run them through these empty kitty litter jugs. I’ve filled the empty jugs with water. Then I lash the broomsticks to the jug handles with shoe strings. Then I do front squats with this little free weight thing I’ve made. It’s not that much weight. I would guess about 70 lbs. When I do this exercise it feels like my lower back is getting better, but a couple of times when I woke up the next morning my left hip was pretty sore. I skip the exercise when my hip hurts. But I think I am getting some benefit from it. Not so much from muscle fatigue as from breathing and loosening connective tissue.

I started back to the gym, it was cheap, $26 a month. I’m really just going through the motions right now, you don’t need heavy weights to get the benefits. Like you say, even if it warms up connective tissue you’ve done a good job

I hurt myself. It is painful to move. I’m at a bit of a loss.

I’m sorry to hear that. Maybe you could try walking in a swimming pool, or something like that. You’re not going to exacerbate any physical problems doing that.

Good for you. Plenty of body weight exercises on the old youtube. Lots of routines and things so you can get reasonably fit without much expenditure or equiprement.
