the apartment above me has had an infestation of fleas so bad that when the guy went to rip out the carpet, he was covered in fleas and ran out screaming shucking off his clothes. My air conditioning is not adequate to cool down the living room let alone the whole apartment . The manager is a foul mouth drunk that does as little as possible . My rent went up $10.00 a month because he says he is loosing money taking care of this place. Been here a little more than a year. Do you think I should look for another place? Today I found a flea on my cat!

I think you should try and find another place, I’m sure you’ll find something better if you just look. I also had terrible managers and it always ended up badly
Sometimes if you look creatively you can find something good. Exercise your brain and look for a better place.
I have something of a similar situation, with a do nothing owner interested only in profits, leaving a do nothing drug-addicted manager to ward off repair costs and raise the rent, threatening eviction so he can get his friends in so they can all bolster each others dependancies. Its been quite disgusting, all the petty ploys to dislodge us, and coming from a using drug addict ‘pretentious christian’ extremely revolting. I had to wait a long time for ‘the other shoe to drop’ but it has begun to do so and the climate here warms. I hope that soon you’ll hear ‘the other shoe fall’ and the poor practices there will end for whatever their cause. Document, document, document!!!
idk i think you should try to find another spot and with fleas that can only be bad and maybe get worse you know what i mean. so just weigh your options

You could see what your alternative options are and in the meantime buy some flea powder and a Hoover. Sorry you are having such a bad time…
