My mom did it after doing ancestry dna. She did 23 and me too.
Only surprise she got “Greek/Baltic” instead of middle eastern.

Were the two test results the same?
It said Greek instead of middle eastern but other than that it was pretty much very similar.
I did it surprisingly I European Spanish…otherwise basic English Irish Hungarian
I really wanna do this. Maybe after I move I’ll check it out. All I know is that I’m white, no idea anything beyond that. Really curious. Other people get to be proud of who they are because of culture, that sounds fun, I wanna try it. I hope I’m Irish.
There also plenty of DIY ethnicity calculators mentioned at https://anthrogenica.com/forum.php .
A popular one is g25.
I would love to know, but im way too paranoid. I dont trust them one bit with my DNA.
@anon1517417 I already know my bloodline…I am 55 % welsh 25% german and the rest Irish . maybe a trace of Native American somewhere way back.
Cool! When did you family come to America?
my dad’s father was 100 % german but my grandmother was welsh mainly…my mom’s dad was 50 % german, and Irish. my grandfather’s family came to America in the twenties I think from Germany. @anon1517417
Ah! sounds like me! even the percentages are probably accurate for me also - although i have not had a test - this is where my ancestors are said to have come from
German Mum
English Dad
Irish grandfather or great grandmother - (not clear - don’t remember)
I would guess that mine would be very similar. Italian/Irish, a little English and German. Interesting!
Most common ancestry in the US.
I’ve never done a dna heritage but I know most of my family history. Dads family Scottish irish and native american. My moms is a little more complex. One of my great grandmothers was Apache but was taken away as a baby and given to a white family. Her 5th husband my great grandpa was German/Dutch. My grandma’s family is Jewish from Poland and they came before Hitler invaded poland. But my great grandmother converted to catholic so she can marry my great grandpa who was irish
I think Indians are mixed to be honest. Who knows I could have some iranian greek blood its possible.
