I doubt that weight gain on Zyprexa will stop, but Clozaril is also notorious for weight gain.Zyprexa didn’t rise my weight, and I felt good in those months. But when I tried now only 5mg’s it made me go to fridge in a moment.

I gained loads of weight on zyprexa.

Im on clozapine now and my weight is very steady.

Olanzapine was crazy how i wanted candy and food.

I still havent lost that zyprexa weight gain. It just doesnt want to come off !!

Maybe you just have to adjust to the new meds

I’m going to see if I gain as fast on the second week. I’m pretty sure this won’t work for me. I’m still paranoid etc. I can try loxapine and Clozapine. I’m planning on asking for loxapine first

Do you feel any better at all? Or is it like a sugar pill?

My anxiety is slightly better. But not enough to feel safe.

I take it. Have for ten years. My weight is reasonable. I learned to stay away from granulated sugar. If I need something sweet I buy organic snacks. Seems cane sugar isn’t as bad. Use it to bake.

Okay. Two weeks is a good time. I felt great on zyprexa. My doctor wanted to take me off after gaining 14 lbs in two weeks. I said no because of my clear thinking and less anxiety. Two weeks later when I gained more I finally agreed to stop. I want the best for you!

Have you addressed being followed in therapy? Sorry, I don’t remember.

Which AP are you now on @sigarino?

Is it working for you? @sigarino

Keep in touch with your pdoc and let your pdoc know what is going on with you. My pdoc is willing to work with me on my med’s because I have been med compliant for so long.

yes, i feel normal on it mentally maybe even a bit better than when i was on olanzapine and didnt have any withdrawal when switching from olanzapine to invega so they must hit some of the same receptors, my appetite is alot more manageable than when i was on olanzapine and have lost 33 lbs so far since the switch

@FlyingPurplePeopleMeeter I have addressed it in therapy. My counselor decided to leave and work with the criminally insane. I hope he’s ok there. I’m waiting to be assigned a new counselor. It may take a while because I’m receiving care under a new grant program now at the county mental health organization and so they want me to have a new case manager who works directly under that grant. I see her in a couple weeks. Then she can work on assigning me a new therapist. But they want me to focus on being held against my will and abused for 3 straight months first because they believe not dealing with that has hindered my progress in believing the men are just hallucinations and delusions.
