Zyprexa and sleep

has anyone here ever slept all day and all night on Zyprexa? Because that’s what it’s doing to me, I can barely stay awake.

Yeah, it basically knocked me out for about 12 hours then I was tired all day.

I’m the opposite - it gives me bad insomnia. I take it between 6-6:30 a.m. and I take Melatonin to get to sleep around 9 p.m.

When I first started Zyprexa, I took it at bedtime, expecting it to be sedating. I got ZERO sleep that first night. The next two nights, I took it at bedtime and only slept because I took 1 mg of Klonopin at 2 a.m. Then I decided to try taking it first thing in the morning. Bingo. I now have energy throughout the day and no longer nap. I naturally wake up between 6-6:30 now and that’s the start of my day.

I slept all day today too, very annoying. But at least I don’t have positive symptoms

It doesn’t help me get to sleep but it makes getting up early difficult, because the early morning is filled with a drugged haze kinda feeling that doesn’t wear off until noon.

I’ve never taken zyprexa but when I was on seroquel and abilify I slept all day and night. (And gained 80 pounds). Saphris was the best medicine I’ve been on but it made my mouth too numb and I couldn’t eat. So I’m on paliperodone and haloperidol now. Now I still stay in bed all day, but I’m awake!
